Introducing yourself and meeting people

How to go about introducing yourself is usually the first thing you learn when acquiring a new language. The reason is that usually presenting yourself or introducing someone else like a friend or coworker is probably the first thing you will need to do when meeting someone. We’ve created a list of expressions you can use when you come in contact with a new foreigner.

used to introduce an opinion that makes what you have just said seem less strong

He gets to work on time, regardless of what time he went to bed the day before.

On the flip side
a different aspect of something (especially the opposite aspect)

You have a very nice job, on the flip side, if you accept working with us you could spend more time with your family because of travel time.

En la oficina necesitarás éste vocabulario

En la oficina se necesita utilizar cierto vocabulario que se puede aprender con facilidad. La estrategia es la siguiente  toma las palabras que te son nuevas, las escribes en un post-it y lo pegas al objeto correspondiente. Es decir, si no sabes como se dice “saca grapas” escribirás “staple remover” en un post-it y lo pegas a un saca grapas que tengas a la vista. Cada vez que estés en la oficina y necesites un “saca grapas” verás que en inglés se llama “staple remover” y será fácil aprenderla.
